The Department of Medicine serves as the academic home for more than 1000 faculty, staff, residents and fellows engaged in research, education, and patient care.

 

The Chair of Medicine, Dr. Harvey Jay Cohen, oversees the department's academic status and operations, and receives support from a leadership team and 15 division chiefs. Each division represents a specialty within the department -- their activities are frequently cross-disciplinary and collaborative.
