Medical education in the Department of Medicine includes programs for students, residents, fellows, and special programs.

 

The medical students consistently rank their medicine clerkship higher than any other clinical rotation at Duke and higher than the national average according to the annual medical student graduation questionnaire.

 

The clinical experiences particularly allow learners to follow a variety of patients and to receive highly regarded teaching.

 

Since the school implemented the award for Master Teacher Clinician our members have been the recipient of one or two of the three awards per year.
