The Faculty Appointments, Promotion and Tenure Office assists in facilitating best practices in the consideration of faculty appointments, promotions and tenure. We work closely with the Chair, the Division Chiefs, and Division managers, to provide guidance and resources necessary to recruit and retain exceptional faculty. We support the School of Medicine's missions of excellence and innovation in education, patient care and research.

The Department has in development a novel tracking tool to facilitate monitoring and expediting the AP&T process as well as summarizing the composition of the department. Already, with the first pilot phase we have seen value. In Fall 2009 we expect direct access for each Division Chief.
