John Perfect, MD
John R. Perfect is James B. Duke Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Infectious Diseases at Duke University. He is Director of the Duke University Mycology Research Unit. Dr. Perfect is the Duke PPG Principal Investigator, leader of the Administrative Core and co-PI of Project 3: Trehalose.

Andy Alspaugh is a clinician scientist in the Duke Division of Infectious Diseases and the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology. He co-leads the Inhibitor Testing Core and is co-PI for Project 2: Ras.

Richard Brennan

Richard Brennan, PhD

Dick Brennan is a James B. Duke Professor of Biochemistry and has been the Chair of the Department of Biochemistry since 2011.  He is co-PI of Project 3: Trehalose.

Christy Dixon is an administrator in the Duke Division of Infectious Diseases and helps lead the Administrative Core.

Joseph Heitman

Joseph Heitman, MD, PhD    
Joseph Heitman is James B. Duke Professor and Chair of the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology at Duke University, and director of the Tri-Institutional Molecular Mycology and Pathogenesis Training Program. He is PI for Project 1: Calcineurin.

Praveen Juvvadi, PhD
Praveen Juvvadi is an assistant professor of pediatrics at Duke University.

Connie Nichols, PhD    
Connie Nichols directs the biological experiments in Project, 2, and she helps to quantitatively assess antifungal activity of compounds in the Inhibitor Testing Core.

Wiley Schell
Wiley Schell is an associate professor of medicine (Infectious Diseases) at Duke University. He co-leads the Inhibitor Testing Core.

Maria Schumaker

Maria Schumacher, PhD
Maria Schumacher is the Nanaline H. Duke Professor of Biochemistry and leads the Protein Expression Core and is co-PI for Project 1: Calcineurin.

William Shadrick, PhD
William Shadrick works in the lab of Richard Lee at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in Memphis, Tennessee, on drug discovery against a variety of targets related to epigenetic regulation of cancer, influenza, bacterial pathogenesis, and fungal stress tolerance. He is co-PI of Project 3: Trehalose.

Leonard Spice

Leonard Spicer, PhD 
Len Spicer is the University Distinguished Service Professor in the Departments of Biochemistry and Radiology at Duke University.  

William Steinbach

William Steinbach, MD
William Steinbach is a professor of pediatrics and molecular Genetics and microbiology, and Chief of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Duke. He co-leads the Inhibitor Testing Core and is co-PI for Project 1: Calcineurin.

Jennifer Tenor, PhD    
Jennifer Tenor is a research scientist in the laboratory of Dr. John R. Perfect in the Division of Infectious Diseases. She is co-PI of Project 3: Trehalose.
