Reflections on the Duke Program

What were you looking for in a residency program?
Broad exposure and finding colleagues and mentors who would celebrate with me on the good days and support me on the difficult ones. I found that Duke had everything I was looking for!

What are the strengths of the Duke Program?
The "Duke Family" is a real thing!

What are your observations about the relationships between faculty and house staff?
I have found there to be tremendous respect among house staff and faculty. We are all working together to provide our best patient care and having some fun along the way.

Tell us about your co-interns. What has helped you connect, support each other, and form friendships?
My co-interns are so diverse. I love getting to hear snippets of each of their unique stories and grow together throughout residency.

What has surprised you most about Duke?
The collegiality! It’s real!
