What are your career goals?
I am still exploring the different subspecialties of internal medicine however, at this point, I am leaning toward pursuing a fellowship in GI or Rheumatology. I am also interested in quality improvement initiatives and medical eduction.
What did you do the summer before intern year?
I traveled to Kraków Poland with my family where we ate delicious food and hiked the Tatra Mountains.

Reflections on the Duke Program
What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for the perfect balance of strong clinical training and excellent research opportunities. Duke had both, making it as obvious choice to do my residency here!
What are the strengths of the Duke Program?
The Duke Fam! Everyone here is so incredibly kind, respectful and eager to help. The 4+2 schedule is also amazing and allows you to catch your breath after a particularly tough inpatient rotation.
What are your observations about the relationships between faculty and house staff?
Everyone on the team is both motivated to take excellent care of patients as well as each other.
Tell us about your co-interns. What has helped you connect, support each other, and form friendships?
My co-interns are incredibly bright, humble, and fun! We made a very strong effort to explore Durham together which has been absolutely amazing.
What has surprised you most about Duke?
The educational opportunities throughout the day are endless and excellent.

What is the best thing about living in Durham and the Triangle?
Coming from NY state, I have been enjoying the warmer weather in NC. Also, the cost of living is very affordable!
How does the Triangle appeal to people of diverse backgrounds?
There is such a large number of trainees coming from all over world living in the Triangle area which is quite incredible
Where did you choose to live and why?
I am living at Trinity Commons. I walk to work every day which is extremely convenient and allows me to get my steps in!
What are your interests outside of medicine?
I enjoy hiking, kayaking, fishing and exploring new restaurants with friends.
