I'm not sure yet, I'm excited to try a lot of things and figure it out.

I have been pleasantly surprised by how supported I have felt during the first few months of intern year , and that it hasn't really been that stressful.
Reflections on the Duke Program
What were you looking for in a residency program?
I wanted a familial environment, nice place to live, and somewhere that I would get very good training.
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
I think the Duke program has a great culture and residents and faculty have a great relationship.
What are your observations about the relationships between faculty and house staff?
There is mutual respect that is very easy to see!
Tell us about your co-interns. How long did it take to connect?
My class is a really great group of people, we all worked very well together and have a lot of fun outside of work
What has surprised you most about Duke?
Having been at Duke for a long time I wasn't very surprised, but I have been pleasantly surprised by how supported I have felt during the first few months of intern year , and that it hasn't really been that stressful.
About Duke University and Durham
What's best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
I love that you have access to everything that a big city would have being so close to Raleigh, but Durham doesn't feel like a big city . There are a ton of great restaurants and always plenty to do .
Where did you choose to live, and why?
I live off of 15 501, I like it because it is close to Duke, Chapel Hill, and the Southpoint area .
Based on your life, what advice would you give about moving to Durham?
I think it's important to come and visit so you can decide what area is the best fit for you .
What do you like to do outside of medicine?
I like to spend a lot of time with my family and my new puppy .
