Reflections on the Duke Program

What were you looking for in a residency program?
I wanted a familial environment, nice place to live, and somewhere that I would get very good training.

What are the strengths of the Duke program?
I think the Duke program has a great culture and residents and faculty have a great relationship.

What are your observations about the relationships between faculty and house staff?
There is mutual respect that is very easy to see!

About Duke University and Durham

What's best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
I love that you have access to everything that a big city would have being so close to Raleigh, but Durham doesn't feel like a big city . There are a ton of great restaurants and always plenty to do .

Where did you choose to live, and why?
I live off of 15 501, I like it because it is close to Duke, Chapel Hill, and the Southpoint area .

Based on your life, what advice would you give about moving to Durham?
I think it's important to come and visit so you can decide what area is the best fit for you .

What do you like to do outside of medicine?
I like to spend a lot of time with my family and my new puppy .
