Where did you attend medical school?
University of Florida Combined BS/MD Program

What are your career goals?
I plan to pursue academic gastroenterology with a focus on transplant hepatology. I also enjoy medical education, research, underserved outreach, and global health.

Duke has everything I could've hoped for in a residency program. I'm learning a lot and having a lot of fun doing it. I hope you consider becoming part of our #Dukefamily!

Reflections on the Duke Program

What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for a program that had happy, tight-knit residents and rigorous clinical training. Duke has both!

What are the strengths of the Duke program?
My co-residents are wonderful and make coming to work every day a lot of fun. The training here is also exceptional and I know that I'll be able to handle anything as a graduate of this program.

What are your observations about the relationships between faculty and house staff?
Everyone at Duke is incredibly friendly, approachable, and eager to teach!

About Duke University and Durham

What's best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
I love living in the Triangle. Amazing food, weather, and music. Coming from Florida, it's great to experience seasons!

Where did you choose to live, and why?
I live near 9th street. It's a nice location because I'm able to bike to work every day.

What do you like to do outside of medicine?
I love anything outdoors - hiking, camping, surfing, swimming at the beach or lake. I also really enjoy live music, traveling, cooking, trying out new restaurants and breweries, and spending time with family and friends!
