What are your career goals?

Reflections about the Duke program

What were you looking for in a residency program?
A program that was academic and rigorous but that had a culture of solidarity and friendliness. I wanted to train at a program that would challenge me and make me the best doctor I could be, while surrounding myself with bright, fun, compassionate people.

What are the strengths of the Duke program?
Rigorous clinical experience, an abundance of research opportunities, and engaged and approachable leadership who are always working with the residents to make the program even more amazing.

About Duke University and Durham

What's best about living in Durham and the Triangle?
Tons of great restaurants and breweries (Haw River takes the cake if you're into that) both in Durham and in the Triangle - Raleigh and Chapel Hill aren't far and both are underrated in terms of restaurants and things to do. There's also alot of outdoor activities (beach, hiking, canoeing, the mountains). Plus - Asheville is the bomb and close enough for a weekend trip.
