What were you looking for in a residency program? 
Strong clinical training with an academic focus and a good camaraderie between peers

What are the strengths of the Duke program? 
Extremely strong clinical training with a strong sense of compassion

What are your observations about the relationships between faculty and house staff? 
Everyone seems very friendly and close

What has surprised you most about Duke? 
Probably Durham, to be honest - it's surprisingly cool for such a small city!

What's best about living in Durham and the Triangle? 
Cheap housing, excellent food, and tons of outdoor stuff to do!

Where did you choose to live, and why? 
Southpoint - I have a husband, dog, and baby and wanted a bigger place with a yard.

Based on your life, what advice would you give about moving to Durham?
If you want a house, come and house hunt early.

What do you like to do outside of medicine? 
Hiking!! And spending time with my family.
