Reflections on the Duke Program
What were you looking for in a residency program?
I was looking for the place that would most prepare me for becoming a well-rounded physician. A place that had strong medicine and pediatric programs, and one in which I felt supported by faculty.
What are the strengths of the Duke program?
The people that work here. Everyone has been so supportive and made my transition to residency much easier. The faculty make your education a priority and like to see you succeed.
Tell us about your co-interns. How long did it take to connect?
I love my co-interns! Not only have I formed a strong relationship with my Med-Peds interns, but also with my co-interns in both the medicine and pediatric categorical programs.
About Duke University and Durham
Where did you choose to live, and why?
I choose to live on Ninth Street as it is close to the hospital (~1-2 miles) and has lots to offer in terms of food and shopping.
What do you like to do outside of medicine?
I like to play golf, play guitar and hang with friends and family.
