On Fri., Nov. 13, as part of the annual Duke Medical Alumni Weekend, Medicine Grand Rounds moves to the Great Hall of the Trent Semans Center for Health Education.
The event begins at 8 a.m. and will feature Mark McClellan, MD, PhD, giving the annual Eugene A. Stead Jr., MD, Lecture. He will present Clinician Leadership in Health Care Reform. A continental breakfast will be served beginning at 7:30 a.m.
Medicine Grand Rounds is a weekly conference that features speakers from within Duke and around the world discussing clinical and research topics.
McClellan is the inaugural director of the newly created Duke-Robert J. Margolis, MD, Center for Health Policy. Previously, Dr. McClellan served as commissioner of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Most recently, he was a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution.
