Medicine Grand Rounds is a weekly topic- and case-based presentation by members of the faculty of the Department of Medicine (and colleagues in the School of Medicine). Topics and cases are selected to provide faculty and trainees with up-to-date knowledge about timely issues in internal medicine. Dr. Shoup is chief resident for Patient Safety and Quality Improvement at the Durham VA Medical Center, and Dr. Bae is associate chief medical officer for patient safety and clinical quality for Duke University Health System and an assistant professor of medicine (General Internal Medicine).
