From the Director

Well, kudos first to all who worked overnight on Saturday night for powering out that extra hour. Daylight savings and call = not the best of friends. Appreciate your work caring for all of our patients. The 8300 move went well, also thanks to those who kept the patient care going during this time.

We are gearing up for rank list submission for SARs, CICR (Clin Epi) is in full swing and Dennis has a very scary mustache. It is definitely November. If you have not met with your advisor yet this year, now is the time. If you need help making these appointments, please reach out to me or Tia who can help direct you to the right person to meet with!

Kudos this week to our My Take team of Nandita Singh, Emory Buck, Nathan Hirshman, SeaBass Franco and Jordan Infield.  Also to our dinner crews of Sunny Chung, Sean Taasan, Chelsea Perfect, Peggy Sahu, Aman Kansal, Kaela Miller, Shannon McGue, Thomas O’Toole, Zach Silver,Daniel Travis, Zach Lorsch, Harsh Patolia, JT Tanaka, Emory Buck, Shannon Herndon and Emilio Guzman Cisneros.  Kudos to our City of Medicine HS group 2 of Amber Meservey, Neesha Nama, Sidney Barrau and Courtney Dominguez!  More kudos to Brittany Chapman for a stellar SAR talk, to Kristin Corey for an amazing Cohen Conference (always note the hypersegmented polys!), to Andrew Andreae from Komal Safdar for saving a life at the VA, to James Helzberg from Priyanka Reddy for clearing out that clinic inbox, and to Colin Smith for an amazing grand rounds!

Congratulations to Hubie Haywood on his engagement!

Are you keeping up with your THANKS RX’s??? It’s NOVEMBER, literally the MONTH OF THANKS.  So, pull out your phone and send a few Thanks Rx’s to those who are doing a great job!

Pubmed from the Program
This week’s pubmed from the program goes to Casey Howe for her poster at the American College of Rheumatology meeting “Provider Assessment of Telehealth Utility During COVID-19”  with co-authors Isaac Smith, Robert Overton, Ricardo Henao, Nicoleta Economou-Zavalanos, Megan Clowse and David Leverenz.

Have a great week!
