Save the date 9/20/13: Health care reform panel

Duke University Hospital Office of Graduate Medical Education, with the support of the Sanford School of Public Policy and the Duke Center for Canadian Studies, invite you to attend Health Care Reform Panel: Obama-care versus Canada Single-Payer Care on Thur., Sept. 12 from 5-7 p.m. in Duke South Amphitheater. Keynote speaker, Jeff Simpson, national affairs columnist for The Toronto Globe and Mail, will discuss access to care in Canada and the comparison between the Canadian healthcare system and that of the U.S. This will be followed by a panel discussion on access to health care in the U.S. after health care reform. Panel members include: Kevin Schulman, MD, MBA, professor of Medicine and Gregory Mario and Jeremy Mario Professor of Business Administration; Don Taylor, PhD, MPH, associate professor of Public Policy; Barak Richman, JD, PhD, Edgar P. and Elizabeth C. Bartlett Professor of Law; and Sandra Danoff, DUHS Chief Strategy Officer. The panel will be moderated by Mac McCorkle, associate professor of the Practice of Public Policy and Director of Graduate Studies, Master of Public Policy Program. Register to attend this event.
