Career and Research Goals:

I am pursuing the health services pathway within the Duke Endocrinology Fellowship Program with a goal of being a change agent at systems levels to improve health outcomes. I am specifically interested in ways to improve access, utilization and quality of care related to metabolic, cardiovascular and thyroid diseases.

What are the strengths of the Duke program?

I still remember the “this is it” feeling that I experienced on my interview day! I knew that training in the Duke Endocrinology Fellowship Program would allow me to gain a wide breadth of clinical knowledge. As a tertiary referral center, we often care for patients from across the region with complex disease processes. The collegial environment among the fellows and genuinely supportive nature of the leadership and faculty is undeniable. Fellows are supported and given the opportunity to forge their unique niches in their fields.
