Undergraduate- Harvard

What are your career goals?

I am interested in pursuing a career in academic nephrology, with a focus on medical education.

What were you looking for in a fellowship program?

I was looking for a program with a supportive community of faculty and colleagues who would help me reach my professional goals.

What are the strengths of the Duke program?

I stayed at Duke because of my extraordinarily positive experience with Duke Nephrology faculty throughout my residency. They all seemed genuinely happy, pleasant to work with, and inspired to teach. I am excited to continue to benefit from their outstanding mentorship!

What have you liked about your experience in Durham/RTP?

One nice thing about living in Durham is that nothing is too far away. The downtown attractions are within a mile of my apartment and my commute to work is only five minutes long.

What advice would you give about moving to Durham?

Start searching for housing early. The rental/home-buying market here is moving really fast these days!

What are your interests outside of medicine?

I love playing soccer whenever I get the chance, and there's a great pickup soccer scene here in Durham. I'm also a big fan of swing dancing and creative writing!
