Thuy Le, MD, DPhil Elected to ASCI

Dr. Thuy Le was elected to the American Society for Clinical Investigation. She was one of 100 new Active and International members elected for 2023. 

These new members come from 49 different institutions and represent excellence across the breadth of academic medicine. They will be officially inducted into the Society at the ASCI Dinner and New Member Induction Ceremony, on April 21, 2023, as part of the AAP/ASCI/APSA Joint Meeting, April 21–23, at the Swissotel in  Chicago.

Dr. Le is co-director of the Clinical Core of the Duke Center for AIDS Research and co-director of the Tropical Medicine Research Program for Talaromycosis in Vietnam. She leads a multi-country research collaboration to develop and test novel non-culture-based diagnostics and novel therapeutic strategies in Southeast Asia for Talaromycosis, a severe HIV-associated fungal infection.  She is the Associate Editor of PLO Neglected Tropical Diseases.
