Alyson Johnson, MD, assistant professor (Gastroenterology), has been accepted to the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) Leadership Education and Development (LEAD) Program.
The LEAD Program is a 12-month program offering female gastroenterologists an opportunity to enhance their leadership and career development skills through education, coaching and building professional networks. Dr. Rebecca Burbridge and Dr. Cece Zhang are recent participants in LEAD, and thanks to Dr. Zhang for supporting this nomination.
"Dr. Johnson emerged as a leader during her training at Duke when she served as chief resident," says Andrew J. Muir, MD, division chief (Gastroenterology). "Now that she has joined our faculty and we see her leadership potential, this program is a great opportunity for her career development. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Johnson."
