We are proud to announce GIM Medical Instructor, Andrea Archibald, MD, received the Isaac Hall Manning Jr. Award for Excellence in Patient care at the Service Excellence awards ceremony last week. This award was established by the family of Dr. Isaac Hall Manning Jr. to honor him for his lifelong dedication, caring, and excellence in patient care. The fund awards 2 outstanding Duke Regional Hospital employees each year; one providing direct patient care and one providing supportive services. Archibald received the award for direct patient care, while Jose A. Correa Rodriguez, a medical Interpreter at DRH, received the one for supportive services.
The president of Duke Regional Hospital, Katie Galbraith, decided to have a little fun and presented the awards while dressed as Bill from Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure.
