Carlson + Patel honored with teaching awards

Another academic year is coming to end, which means it's time to recognize individuals who have exemplified excellence in teaching during the year. At Duke Medicine Grand Rounds on June 8, two GIM faculty members were honored with awards voted on by the residents and given to a faculty member who best exemplifies commitment and excellence in teaching in their respective areas. 

G. RALPH COREY AWARD: VA faculty attending that best exemplifies excellence in house staff education. 
Recipient: Dr. Marie Carlson, Assistant Professor of Medicine in Duke GIM

​EUGENE A. STEAD AWARD: A DUH faculty attending that best exemplifies excellence in house staff education.
Recipients: Dr. Nilesh Patel, Assistant Professor of Medicine in Duke GIM, and Dr. Talal Dahhan, Assistant Professor of Medicine in Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine.
