On Friday, June 8, the staff of the Department of Medicine Research Administration (DOM-RA) held a lemonade stand, bake sale, and raffle for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation's annual "Lemonade Days."
The fundraiser, which took place outside of Erwin Square Plaza, raised $2,700 for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF), a charity that funds research projects in childhood cancer. The donations also fund ALSF's programs that provide monetary and emotional support for childhood cancer patients and their families.
DOM-RA staff's involvement with ALSF dates back to the staff's Triangle Christmas Tree Challenge days, which was one of the first activities the group did as a sponsor for ALSF.
