Dr. Webb selected as AAHPM Hearst Leadership Scholar

Congratulations to Jason Webb, MD, an emerging leader in palliative care medicine! Dr. Webb is assistant professor of medicine and a palliative care specialist in the division of general internal medicine. He was recently named by the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine as a 2018 Hearst Leadership Scholar.

One of 15 recipients, Dr. Webb will receive funding over the next two years to participate in leadership development activities. An overarching goal of the program is to advance the field of hospice and palliative medicine.

Dr. Webb plans to use the funding to further faculty development through the Vital Talk training program as well as the Harvard Macy training program.

Dr. Webb is also assistant professor of psychiatry and behavioral medicine. He is a former Duke internal medicine chief resident and this year honored by Duke University Hospital with a Strength, Hope and Caring Physician Award. Learn more about Dr. Webb from his Duke profile
