Duke Cardiology, through a Center of Excellence Grant from the NIH and philanthropic funding, has teamed up with AMPATH and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital to develop a Clinical Research Training program and build a Cardiac Care Unit. This initiative is providing expanded care to the hospital's catchment area of around 20 million while training the next generation of clinical researchers and leaders in Kenya's health care system.
