Funding opp: Creative & novel ideas in HIV research

Creative and Novel Ideas in HIV Research (CNIHR)The Creative and Novel Ideas in Research Awards program (CNIHR)  is a research grant program for early career investigators with no prior experience in HIV research. It is sponsored by the national Centers for AIDS Research (see Duke CFAR), the Office of AIDS Research and the International AIDS Society.
  • The awards will be up to 2 years in length.
  • Up to $150,000 Direct Cost per year, (the amount of the award will vary depending on the proposal).
  • International AIDS Society will provide funding for awardees to attend future IAS meetings during the proposed period of research.
Who is eligible?
  • Junior investigators (no more than 10 years after completion of terminal degree (PhD or equivalent) or medical residency) who are faculty and new to the HIV field.
  • Both domestic and international investigators are encouraged to apply.
