Ginsburg organizes meeting of international genomics leaders

Geoffrey Ginsburg, MD, PhD, professor of medicine (Cardiology) and pathology and director of genomic medicine at the Duke Institute for Genome Sciences & Policy, was co-organizer of the Global Leaders in Genomic Medicine meeting at the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, D.C. in January. At the meeting, 50 leaders in genomic medicine from more than 25 countries discussed recommendations for improving the use of genomics in medicine. Read about their discussions at genome.gov Ginsburg will also be the recipient of the ILCHUN Molecular Medicine Award in 2014. The award is presented annually by the Korean Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in collaboration with the Genomic Medicine Institute, and celebrates researchers with dedicated achievement in molecular medicine.
