Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM)

The application to apply for ELAM opened on November 1, 2018. Communicate your interest early! Institutions are limited in the number of applications they can submit, so there is an internal selection process for ELAM. The internal selection process is managed by the Office for Faculty Development. Participation in the program takes significant personal and institutional commitment, which must be demonstrated during the application process.

The Hedwig van Ameringen ELAM Program for Women is the nation's only in-depth program focused on preparing senior women faculty at schools of medicine, dentistry and public health for institutional leadership positions where they can effect positive change. This prestigious year-long program develops the professional and personal skills required to lead and manage in today's complex healthcare environment, with special attention to the unique challenges facing women in leadership positions.
