From the Director
I hope you all were (virtually) able to enjoy the Easter holiday if you celebrate.
We continue to thank everyone for their dedication, support of each other and flexibility in these most unusual of times.
This week, we have Matt McCulloch's SAR talk on Tuesday, so get ready! We will also be resuming (virtual) Chair's Conferences and enter our second week of online resident and intern reports.
The Zoom Noon conference series is awesome, and we are grateful to Dr. Josh Broder for teaching us about what is happening in the ED and Dr. Rahul Loungani for teaching us about COVID and the heart.

Congratulations this week to Madhu Eluri and Anish Badjatiya, who got married earlier this year in India and were treated to a Zoom reception in lieu of their planned reception this past weekend. Many thanks to Keva Garg for organizing. In true Zoom fashion (a-hem), tuxes/jackets and shorts were the name of the game.

Clinic Corner: Pickett Road

Pickett Road has been operating a COVID-19 drive-up testing site for the last few weeks. Internal medicine residents Nathan Hirshman, Matthew Harbrecht, and Anmol Singh have been instrumental in the roll-out and streamlined operations of the site. We really appreciate everybody's flexibility and hard work!

Feeling down? Need to talk to someone? Opportunities for Wellness
All trainees at Duke have FREE access to Personal Assistance Services (PAS), which is the faculty/employee assistance program of Duke University. The staff of licensed professionals offer confidential assessment, short-term counseling, and referrals to help resolve a range of personal, work, and family problems. PAS services are available free of charge to Duke faculty and staff, and their immediate family members. An appointment to meet with a PAS counselor may be arranged by calling the PAS office at 919-416-1PAS (919-416-1727), Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. For assistance after hours, residents and fellows can call the Blood and Body Fluid Hotline (115 inside DUH, 919-684-1115 outside) for referral to behavioral health resources.
