From the Director
What a great Medicine Grand Rounds by our chiefs – so many kudos to come from that! If you didn’t get a chance to watch on Friday, I would definitely encourage you to watch it. So very proud of you all. Also we had a fantastic SARlebration Friday night. Many thanks to Elizabeth, Lynsey and Kayla for planning and to Dennis Narcisse, Bryan Golubski, Alex Sullivan and Jordan Gales for being our emcee/hosts.
The last few weeks of the year always move super fast – don’t forget to tune in for the second of the CHIEF GRAND ROUNDS this Friday at noon!

Kudos this week go to Tsion Aberra, Nicole Helmke and Lauren Donnangelo for outstanding SAR talks last week. Clinic Corner: Pickett Road

Pickett Road resumed our resident continuity clinic on June 1. We have greatly appreciated everybody's positive attitude as we have adapted to new processes. The Pickett attendings are excited to resume teaching and to see our fantastic class of SARs move on to the next step in their careers.

Feeling down? Need to talk to someone? Opportunities for Wellness
All trainees at Duke have FREE access to Personal Assistance Services (PAS), which is the faculty/employee assistance program of Duke University. The staff of licensed professionals offer confidential assessment, short-term counseling, and referrals to help resolve a range of personal, work, and family problems. PAS services are available free of charge to Duke faculty and staff, and their immediate family members. An appointment to meet with a PAS counselor may be arranged by calling the PAS office at 919-416-1PAS (919-416-1727), Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M. For assistance after hours, residents and fellows can call the Blood and Body Fluid Hotline (115 inside DUH, 919-684-1115 outside) for referral to behavioral health resources.
