John Perfect, MD, professor of medicine and interim chair of the Division of Infectious Diseases, was honored by the Duke Medical Alumni Association with the 2010 Distinguished Faculty Award.
During the past 33 years, John R. Perfect, MD, has established himself as one of the world’s leading molecular mycologists. He is an international expert on the potentially deadly pathogen Cryptococcus neoformans, which can damage the central nervous system.
