Kevin Jackson uses LARIAT suture delivery device

Kevin Jackson, MD, assistant professor of medicine (Cardiology), recently performed the first left atrial appendage occlusion with the LARIAT suture delivery device at Duke University Hospital.

"There is a great deal of enthusiasm about this technology, and placing the device can be technically challenging," said Joseph Rogers, MD, interim chief of the Division of Cardiology. "We are fortunate to have Kevin leading these initiatives at Duke."
