Registration is now open for the 1st Annual Lung Transplant Foundation Golf Tournament that will take place June 5, 2011 at the Duke University Golf Club.
This is a Captains Choice event where handicaps will also be assigned by the Duke University Golf pros. During this event, Johnson Hyundai has put up a new Hyundai Sonata for a hole in one. There will be other contests such as nearest to the hole on a Par 3, a Putting contest, and a Straightest Drive contest. The top 6 teams will be awarded prizes.
There will also be a Silent Auction with donations from such organizations such as the Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Charlotte Bobcats, Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, P. Buckley Moss, Duke medicine - a framed USA Basketball jersey signed by Coach K (from his gold medal finish at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics), Wintergreen Resort, Golf Digest, The Total Wine Company, Washington Duke Inn, Wrangler, and more.
Cost is $150.00 per person which includes golf, range balls, cart, goody bag, golf shirt, continental breakfast, box lunch, dinner, and lots of fun. If a spouse or friend just wants to have dinner, the cost is $25.00.
