Assistant Professor of Medicine (General Internal Medicine), Nia S. Mitchell, MD, was accepted into the 2022-23 Society of Behavioral Medicine's (SBM) Leadership Institute. The purpose of the institute is to turn participant fellows into more effective leaders by fostering self-awareness and the development of leadership skills.
"I was very excited when the President of The Obesity Society (TOS) told me I was nominated to receive their support to attend the Society of Behavioral Medicine (SBM) Leadership Institute," says Mitchell. The in-person two-day workshop takes place April 5-6 in Baltimore, Maryland.
