Peyser presents at MedEd conference in Australia

DGIM Professor of Medicine, Bruce Peyser, MD, a leader in longitudinal integrated clerkship experiences for medical students, attended the "Muster 2018 Global Community Engaged Medical Education Conference" last week in Australia. He was an invited speaker and workshop leader for this international conference sponsored in its sixth year by Flinders University and the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. This year the event was joined with the annual CLIC (Consortium of Longitudinal Integrated Clerkships) conference.

Oral Presentation: "Workshopping at CLIC — An Integral Step in the Development of a Powerful Community of Practice"

Peyser presented data he has collected about teaching workshops, a model that forwards work of the CLIC. In this manner, medical students develop continuity of relationships with preceptors and patients, and gain integrated cross-disciplinary clinical experiences.

Workshop: "A Call for Change Agents: the role of medical students in clinical and educational transformation"

Peyser joined 3 other presenters in this workshop.
