Register for the School of Medicine's Crucial Conversations seminar

The School of Medicine Office for Faculty Development invites faculty to register for "Crucial Conversations," presented by Ann Brown, MD, MHS, and Cathy Siders, PhD, on Fri., June 9 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Trent Semans Center.

Event description

"Crucial Conversations" is part of the Professional Development Seminar Series funded by the Dean of the School of Medicine. The ability to communicate effectively in challenging interactions is a core leadership skill needed to sustain trust and productivity in an academic environment. This workshop will explore critical elements of crucial conversations and will help faculty hone their skills in this area. The workshop will include a discussion of style under stress and the ways in which stress can impact our behavior. This will be an interactive and highly participative session aimed at increasing each participant's confidence in approaching and managing difficult communications.

Who should attend? All are welcome, material will be geared toward School of Medicine faculty.
