The School of Medicine will host Basic Science Day from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Wed., Sept. 12, in the Great Hall of the Trent Semans Center.
Basic Science Day will include lectures by Duke faculty from all basic science departments, a poster, lunch and more.
This year's Robert J. Lefkowitz, MD, Distinguished Lecture will feature James A. Spurich, PhD, Douglass M. and Nola Leishman Provessor of Cardiovascular Disease and Professor of Biochemistry at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Spudich will present "The Myosin Mesa and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy: Mutations to Mechanisms to Therapies."
