Zullig & Bosworth at ESPACOMP

The European Society for Patient Adherence, COMpliance, and Persistence (ESPACOMP) held their 20th annual meeting in Lisbon, Portugal on November 17-19.  The annual meeting was aimed at covering the main aspects related to medication taking behavior and our own Leah Zullig, PhD, and Hayden Boswoth, PhD, were each in attendance and contributed to the event!

Dr. Bosworth (left) gave a talk at the event entitled, "How do I evaluate an ongoing, organic intervention program?" He also presented the following poster:

Dr. Zullig, who is also a member of the ESPACOMP executive steering committee, ran a full-day multidisciplinary workshop on applying implementation science principles to adapt medication adherence interventions. (She is pictured third from left in the picture below.) Here is the workshop citation:

ESPACOMP is a non-profit association and mainly works with an international audience composed of researchers, pharmaco-epidemiologists, statisticians and industry people interested in compliance and persistence. Its main objective is to study the medication taking behavior and to evaluate the difference between caregivers’ prescriptions and patients’ execution of that prescription.
