Faculty: Interested in learning about social media?

Duke faculty are invited to take part in a two-hour social media workshop organized by Duke's Office of News & Communications from 9-11 a.m. on Wed., Nov. 20, in the CIEMAS building's Schiciano Auditorium.
The session will open with comments from faculty who are regular users of blogs, Twitter and Facebook, and will include answers to common questions from faculty as well as tips on how to be strategic in your use of social media and best practices for social media use.
Faculty interested in attending should contact Cara Rousseau, Duke's social media manager, to reserve a seat. For more tips or one-on-one training, please contact Anton Zuiker and Elizabeth McCamic in the Department of Medicine Communications Office or ask colleagues, Yousuf Zafar, Zubin Eapen, Matt Sparks or Daniella Zipkin, how they are using Twitter.
