Department of Medicine Holds Coffee with Cooney

On March 19, the Department of Medicine hosted the first "Coffee with Cooney" event at Duke Regional Hospital (DRH), co-hosted by Chair Dr. Kathleen Cooney and DRH Internal Medicine Chief Resident, Komal Safdar.

The morning featured coffee, donuts, and engaging conversations in the resident workroom, aimed at fostering connections between Duke University Health and DRH leadership.

DRH has four general medicine teaching teams, providing key learning opportunities for residents.

Duke internal medicine residents, the Internal Medicine Chiefs, Aimee Zaas, IM program director, Pahresah Roominay, DRH medical education lead, and Brandie Powell DRH GME program specialist.
