Partnering with DOMRA/ORA for Smooth Proposal Submission
April 18, 2023 (12-1PM)
This Research Quality Townhall will deconstruct the internal review process for research proposals submitted to DOM Research Administration (DOMRA) and the Office of Research Administration (ORA). In this panel discussion, representatives of DOMRA/ORA will clarify the role each play in the proposal review and submission process, describe what happens during the internal review window, and provide tips to help investigators avoid common pitfalls that can slow down the review and submission process or that could result in sponsor rejection of your proposal. Breakout sessions will include topics that address how to: 1) navigate sponsor policies related to scientific, commitment or budgetary overlap, 2) engage external collaborators (individuals and/or organizations) and budget their involvement appropriately, and 3) locate resources available for developing your proposal. Material covered in this session will be relevant to trainees and faculty at all career stages.
Registration for the meeting is provided here: https://duke.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0wHIV2GfBMJW8Tk
Attendees are eligible for RCR-200 level credit for participating in the full meeting, and instructions for receiving that credit will be provided at the end of this Town Hall session.
