Kudos to Dr. Katherine Zhou, PGY-5 Hematology and Medical Oncology, for her extraordinary care!
Recently, a veteran's son, who is a veteran himself, presented a flag that was flown over the Pentagon on September 11, 2024, to honor the care that Dr. Zhou has provided to his family.
“The ultimate goal of everything we do as healthcare providers is to improve the health and lives of our patients, so the most rewarding thing is to hear directly from the patients/veterans that they feel that we are making a positive difference,” she said. “I feel very fortunate to work with veterans and families who are so grateful for the care they receive, and I am humbled by the lengths to which this veteran and his son have gone to demonstrate their gratitude.”
