From the Director

Fun-bruary rolls on! Thanks to all who joined us for the first “+2 (no, its not ready yet) porch night”.  Looking forward to hosting again next week. It was also great to see you outdoors in the courtyard on Friday for lunch – spring is almost here.  We’ve finished up our fellowship prep sessions, so please be on the lookout for the signup for 1:1 meetings coming out this week.  Plus there is upcoming res-i-teering and the baking contest with contestants Sandra Au, Emory Buck, Jo Cavalier, Fouad Chouari, Ryan Duffy, and Bari Rosenberg.  If you were planning to sign up, you still can!

Kudos

Kudos this week to Komal Safdar and Ben Redpath for OUTSTANDING SAR talks, to Shelief Robbins-Juarez for a superb Cohen Conference, to Damarcus Ingram from Drs Sata and Setji for helping redesign the 1010 sheets, to Cameron Strong from the Hi-DOC team for compassionate patient care, to Nicholas Perkons for being recognized with a High Five from nursing, to Ethan Feiger from Sandra Au for helping out with a procedure (with his fellow), to Callie Lilley from Amanda Broderick for providing the right level of care to a patient and getting him to the ICU, to Peter Albares and Julia Hiserodt from Monroe Wolf for outstanding cross cover care at the VA, and to Mark Brahier for compassionate care in the CICU (from Emory Buck) and to Sam Curtis for having the top peer selected proposal in the fall CICR course.   Also check out Nicole Dussault in “This Week in Medicine” presenting her award winning project.

Congratulations to Katelyn Seale on her engagement and also to Katie Centner on her engagement as well!
