Countdown now to the amazing chief performance at the upcoming winter holiday celebration! No pressure (well maybe a little)…. we know you will be amazing.

 

Congratulations again to all who matched in fellowships this past week.  We are excited to also announce the job placements for those not in the match. Super proud of you all!

 

No major other announcements this week, just gearing up to get the schedule request forms out to our rising JARs and rising SARs.  Current SARs, we will be sending some info on boards registration as well.

Kudos this week to Patrick O’Shea from Sandra Au for fantastic patient centered care and meticulous workroom vibes, to Jackie Kercheval (sent in by Nathan) for a novel awesome noon conference, to our ACRs Jackie Kercheval, Andrew Maul and Sachi Oshima for an excellent LEADS, to Alison Smith from Caitlin Womack for really helping out getting a patient ready for admission from the ED, to Lauren Longyear, Naveen Karthik, Ankit Kayastha and Jordan Franklin from Carolyn Ahlers for great gen med work, to Yemi Olubowale from Garret Johnson for a spontaneous donut handoff on Erwin Road, to Lorena Millo from Kristen McClellan for great work in the MICU, to Vanessa Campos for outstanding patient care at the DOC from Dr. Baker and also to Katie Jordan from Dr Baker for helping out as Vanessa cared for a very complex patient.  Also, kudos to our last week’s recruitment crew Amber Feng, Alexy Novelli, Luderve Rosier, Liz Kobe, Mark Brahier, Nivita Sharma, Carolyn Ahlers, Jackie Kercheval, Mike Ibrahim, Juliann Gilchrist, Reeti Gulati, Averie Dickinson, Ashley Jowell, Michael Dagher, Karen Young, Julian Weiss, and Sandra Au and our My Takers Neha Pal, Evan Murray, Hannah Schwennesen, Sachi Oshima, Peter Albares and Alison Herzfeld and CONGRATS to Sara Yosief on her recent wedding! All trainees at Duke have FREE access to Personal Assistance Services (PAS), which is the faculty/employee assistance program of Duke University. The staff of licensed professionals offer confidential assessment, short-term counseling, and referrals to help resolve a range of personal, work, and family problems. PAS services are available free of charge to Duke faculty and staff, and their immediate family members.
