Description

The Wolf Lab comprehensively investigates the role of FGF23 in normal mineral metabolism and in CKD, its adverse impact on cardiovascular disease (CVD), and the molecular mechanisms that underlie these effects. This effort is supported by multiple NIH R01, U01, and R21 grants, an AHA Center grant, and this K24. My overarching goal is to define fundamental mechanisms of disease that will elucidate novel therapeutic targets for interventions that can improve renal and CVD outcomes in CKD. We use a range of study types to advance scientifically and to attract trainees with diverse interests to our team.
