Ellie Hirshberg, MD, MSCI- "Gabapentin and the Developmentally Normal Pediatric Brain" I will present a critically ill pediatric case who was treated with gabapentin and present the indications for gabapentin use beyond neuropathic pain. We will review pediatric and neonatal sedation and discuss the evolution of indications for gabapentin in pediatric and adult patients. Elizabeth Sokolowski, MD- "Catatonia in the Medically Ill" I will review the case of a medically ill patient who developed catatonia and share what is known about catatonia in the medically ill, including prevalence, pathophysiology, risk factors, diagnosis, treatment options and complications.
