I provide patient centered care in various clinical settings and models including primary care and ambulatory consultative general medicine for local, regional and national patients. My administrative interest include practice management issues and development of innovative clinical practice models. In my role as Associate CMO for our faculty practice plan, I have primary physician responsibility for publically reported quality reporting programs, Joint Commission accreditation, and Primary Care Medical Home certification. I am involved in patient quality and safety through my work as chair for health system committees on Pharmacy Medication Management and Medication Safety. I lead population health management activities through my work with our accountable care organization (Duke Connected Care) and community heath efforts as Chair for Project Access of Durham County.
