1/22/14: Workshop on integrating causative networks to resolve addictive dysfunction

The Center on Addiction & Behavior Change at Duke is sponsoring Determination and Determinism: Integrating Causative Networks to Resolve Addictive Dysfunction, a workshop that will be held from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. on Weds., Jan. 22 in the Great Hall of the Trent Semans Center. This workshop features leading researchers from multiple institutions across the U.S. who will integrate our current neurobiological mechanistic understanding of addiction with knowledge of the processes of behavioral self-control. These talks and discussions will assist in developing more effective treatment strategies for addictive dysfunction. A broad range of disciplines, including psychiatry, psychology, neurobiology, pharmacology, law, religion and public policy will be brought to bear on the problem of addiction.
