3 GIM faculty honored with teaching awards

During the virtual session of Duke Medicine Grand Rounds on June 5, 2020, three GIM faculty members were honored with teaching awards. These accolades were voted on by the residents and awarded to a faculty member who best exemplifies commitment and excellence in teaching in their respective areas. 

AMBULATORY MEDICINE TEACHING AWARD

Given to the faculty member that best exemplifies commitment and excellence to teaching ambulatory medicine.
Recipient: Anne Phelps, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine in Duke GIM

DUKE REGIONAL TEACHING AWARD 

Giiven to an attending at Duke Regional Hospital that best exemplifies commitment and excellence in teaching. 
Recipient: Adam Wacher, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine in Duke GIM

VA FACULTY TEACHING AWARD 

Given to an attending at the Durham VA that best exemplifies commitment and excellence in teaching. 
Recipient: Amber Bowman, MD, Assistant Professor of Medicine in Duke GIM
