3 GIMers featured in a 45 portrait painting

In the fall of 2020, local artist Maria Bennett Hock collaborated with Duke University Hospital to paint 45 portraits in 45 days in honor of "the brave women and men who put their safety aside to see to the needs of others."

During January 2021, these portraits comprised an exhibit in the popular concourse area of the hospital, available for view by patients, staff and visitors with screened access. On March 10th, during a “Meet the Artist” ceremony, each participant received their portrait.

GIMers Included
Among the 45 beautiful paintings were the familiar faces of three General Internal Medicine members.
