5/4/18: Redonda Miller invited as 2018 Clipp-Speer Visiting Professor

The Department of Medicine's Program for Women in Internal Medicine has invited Redonda Miller, MD, MBA, president of The John Hopkins Hospital, to be the 2018 Clipp-Speer Visiting Professor.

Dr. Miller will present "Healthcare Transformation and the Evolving Role of Hospitals" at Medicine Grand Rounds at 8 a.m. on Fri., May 4, in Duke North Room 2002. A reception will follow Medicine Grand Rounds in Duke North 2253.

Before her May 2016 appointment as the hospital’s 11th president and the first woman to hold the position in The Johns Hopkins Hospital’s 127-year history, Miller served as vice president of medical affairs for The Johns Hopkins Hospital and senior vice president of medical affairs for the Johns Hopkins Health System.

In her role as senior vice president of medical affairs for the Johns Hopkins Health System, Miller worked in collaboration with the vice presidents for medical affairs and other colleagues across the health system’s six hospitals to advance strategic efforts to consolidate such areas as credentialing, medical staff peer review, health information management and formulary processes.
